Meg Heath Dog Leads is one of the few places on the internet you can buy dog training lines / long lines of a more substantial length, quality and with additional variations. We specialise in lines of up to 50 metres (actual length apx 49.5 metres). Starting at 5 metres, these dog leads are most popular for 2 uses:

Teaching your dog a recall (coming back when called)
Allowing a dog extra freedom in the absense of a recall

Extra Long Line aka training line/lead

The long line or training line is also incorrectly referred to as the training lead and comes in lengths up to 50 metres. Ideal for recall training or dogs that can't be let off the lead.

This long line can be ordered in any length from 5 - 50 (49.5) metres. Alternatively, you can pick a wider webbing, a different colour or have a brass trigger hook (clip on the collar end!).

The Long Line or Training Line, sometimes incorrectly referred to as a training lead is an essential tool for giving a dog more freedom, whether that be because you are doing some recall training or they can't be let of the lead.

What is double up?

Double up means that if for example you buy a 40 metre lead, you can utilise the lead as a 20 metre lead too

Lengths of lead?

Please take care when ordering longer lengths of lead, as people occasionally order in error.

Please note: Colour may occasionally vary if your chosen colour is out of stock. Please state if colour is important. Some of the new colours we are offering may not be held in stock and add just a couple of days onto your order delivery.

Please observe safe practice when using your dog training lines:

Do not use with head collars
Do not allow dog lead to trail where a fully trained recall has not been achieved because of the risk of tangling should your dog run off
Supervise at all times
